Omneya Ramadan Mahmoud Ramadan

Professor and Head of Oral Pathology Department, faculty of dentistry, Alexandria University
Dr. Omneya Ramadan is a distinguished Professor of Oral Pathology and Head of the Oral Pathology Department at the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University. She earned her PhD in Oral Pathology from Alexandria University in 2012 and brings over 25 years of experience in diagnostic head and neck pathology.
Throughout her career, Dr. Ramadan has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing oral cancer research, with particular focus on cancer genetics, genomics, and the application of bioinformatics. In recent years, her interests have expanded to encompass the use of artificial intelligence in improving the accuracy of cancer diagnosis and guiding novel therapeutic strategies.
Her work has been recognized both nationally and internationally. She was a presenter at the AIDR 2016 conference in Los Angeles and has contributed to numerous Egyptian dental and pathology congresses.
Dr. Ramadan was briefly an Academic advisor of a research project funded by the Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF), which aims to explore targeted therapeutic approaches for oral cancer—bridging the gap between molecular research and clinical application.
As both a researcher and academic leader, she is actively engaged in digital transformation and innovation in medical education, committed to preparing the next generation of pathologists and researchers.
