restorative dentistry is witnessing impressive advances aiming to provide patients with better dental treatment and longer lasting restorations. However, many of the techniques used in restorative dentistry to restore the form and function of the natural dentition are not simple. Traditional layering restorative techniques with resin composite require multiple steps some of which are technically challenging and may provide inconsistent results in daily dentistry. In this lecture we would take a look at more current simplified approaches for restorative techniques and how they can be implemented in daily dentistry. In this presentation we will focus on advances in bulk fill composites, simplified matrix techniques and injectable composites. We would also shed light on the current body of evidence in support of the more simplified approaches in restorative dentistry.Â
