Restoration of Teeth In Children

Workshop Objectives:

Restorative dentistry for primary and permanent teeth is a wide range of procedures. The clinician should be able to customize his plan of treatment to serve the diverse possibilities that may affect the child’s teeth in these early years.

Ranging from sealants, all through filling materials, and up to full coverage, these treatment modalities can be used in harmony to preserve and maintain health and good function.

This hands-on workshop will focus on the different modalities, with their indications, application techniques, and expected long-term outcomes.

 

Each candidate will be able to:

  1. Identify the different types of restorative materials and techniques.
  2. Choose the best alternative for each situation
  3. Be aware of the proper clinical steps of application conclusive to a successful restoration.
  4. Practice (on models) applying different types of adhesive filling materials.
  5. Prepare model teeth to receive and seat different types of crowns used in pediatric dentistry.
  6. Practice using bioceramic materials in pulp treatment in children.
