During the past 20 years, several options have been proposed for the restoration of completely edentulous mandibles. One of these options is implant supported fixed restoration with the All on 4 concept either using the immediate or delayed loading approach adopted by Maló et al., 2003
Immediate loading has been described to be done either by a chairside approach or laboratory assisted one, which can be done either by a pre-fabricated prosthesis or by converting the patient’s old denture to a temporary restoration “conversion prosthesis”
Different abutments have been used to ease the pick-up step especially when using a metal reinforcement to ensure the needed passivity. The OT bridge investigated in this research is a new restorative component that accommodate for different implant angulations up to 80 degrees summative tilt and its configuration allow for a wire placement for splinting in case of immediate loading, accompanied by its low profile and width that provide better mechanical and biological outcomes.
